# Notifications

> What Chipper tells you about, and where.

Notifications is the header bell, to the right of [Tasks](/platform/tasks). The badge counts unread items.

## Notification types

The popover lists unread alerts of three kinds.

| Type              | What it covers                                |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Orders**        | High-volume fills, such as a sell completing. |
| **Automations**   | A job finishing, or a periodic status update. |
| **Price Targets** | Market-cap hits and rapid price moves.        |

Each row shows the title, optional detail, and how long ago it arrived. Click a row to mark it read. **Mark all read** clears the list.

When you are caught up, Chipper shows **All caught up**.

## Settings

Open settings from the gear in the popover, or from your avatar → **Settings** → **Notifications**.

Choose where alerts go, then which event types each channel receives.

### Channels

* **Platform** delivers toasts in the app. On by default.
* **Telegram** sends DMs or group messages. On by default. Pick **DM** or **Group**, and set a chat or group id if you need to override the default.
* **Discord** delivers through a webhook URL. Off by default.

### Event types

Route **Orders**, **Automations**, and **Price Targets** to any enabled channel. Click **Save preferences** when you are done.
